Dear Family and Friends,
The following pictures are from our tour in Monument Valley on May 8th. Monument Valley is a Navajo Tribal Park located on the border of Arizona and Utah within the 16 million-acre Navajo Reservation. John Ford, the Hollywood director, made the area very famous with his western movies (think John Wayne).

On Monday morning, we left Monument Valley in the pouring rain and wind. We drove 150 miles to Moab where we met RVing friends and my brother, Warren. We spent an incredible five days in Moab doing all sorts of hikes plus an exciting raft trip on the Colorado River.
Sandy and John Byrnes, our RV teachers, made Moab a place
to remember! Thank you Sandy and John!!

Thank you for reading the blog. We have experienced an incredible week in this beautiful part of our country. Tomorrow (Saturday), we leave for Longmont, Colorado. We will spend a few days having our RV worked on and then, it is on to Ft. Collins to see Air Force friends.
